My darling mother commissioned this painting (and if that’s not how you know you’ve made it as an artist, I don’t know what is) to put the final touch on her newly renovated basement. Her brief included: ‘an old barn, in a meadow…..with some mountains in the back?’. No notes on color palette, vibes, and no reference photo provided.

It was really fun to try to imagine the scene in my mom’s head and to play around with the colors in the sky and the barn knowing that, no matter what, she’ll love whatever I create for her :)
